Revelation Part 1

What happens in Revelation? What makes this book significant? How do we know what is literal and what is figurative/spiritual?
Everything in Chapters 1-6 are happening in the realm of spiritual reality, the plain of existence higher than our own. Quantum physics have shown us that we exist in a reality below 4 dimensions [Chuck Missler explains][Chuck Missler explains Pt. 2] (time, length, width, height) but that outside of this physical realm exists over 10 more dimensions. Without further delay, I present the basic facts of Revelation Chapters 1-6 to you:

Revelation Chapters 1-3
Deals with Christ’s message to the Seven Churches in Asia Minor.
Seven = Zayin, in Hebrew, is a weapon. It is significant because it means Biblical completion, and spiritual perfection.
·         Seven days are the foundation of Creation week.
·         Rev. 10:7 illustrates the seventh trumpet sounding, and it is the last.
·         In Rev. 16:7 after the seventh vial is poured out by the angel, it is “done.”
·         In Lev. 8:31-35 it took Aaron and his sons seven days to be consecrated into the priesthood. They emerged from the tabernacle on the eighth day.
·         Joshua and his army marched around Jericho seven times, and then the walls fell. (The Meaning of Numbers from One to Forty, by Dr. Stephen Jones. ©2008)
Revelation 4:1
God is on the throne and the 24 elders are around him.
24 = Kaph-daleth in Hebrew.
·         It is a combination of 2, illustrated in Hebrew by an open palm, and 4, showing the hand in the act of opening a door. The hand is beckoning the viewer into the sanctuary of God, a place priests would normally only be allowed.
·         12 is the number of governmental perfection, and its multiple 24 is priesthood perfection. Priesthood is spiritual government.
·         In 1st Chronicles 24:1-18, David wrote what blueprints for the temple God told him to give to his son Solomon. Solomon was to build a temple, with a change from 12 courses of priests to 24. It is patterned after the Heavenly 24 elders.
·         The earthly elders were to be 16 men from Eleazer’s family and 8 from Ithamar (1st Chronicles 24:4) The number 8 = New Beginnings, and 16 = Love. Showing that love and spiritual rebirth are required for priesthood.
·         The 24th time that Jesus’ name is mentioned in the book of John is John 3:3. He says that no one can enter Heaven unless they are reborn. (2008, Jones)

Revelation 4:5-8
Lightning, noise, and thunder came from the throne. Seven flaming torches were burning in front of the throne. These are the seven spirits of God. In front of the throne, there was something like a sea of glass as clear as crystal. In the center near the throne and around the throne were four living creatures covered with eyes in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like a young bull, the third had a face like a human, and the fourth was like a flying eagle. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and were covered with eyes, inside and out. Without stopping day or night they were singing, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, who is, and who is coming." (Revelation 4:5-8, GWT)
·         The elders and creatures continue to worship him for the rest of chapter four.
·         These same (?) creatures are shown in Ezekiel chapter 1.
Seven, see Revelation Chapters 1-3 for this number’s significance.
Four = Daleth in Hebrew.
·         Daleth, when written, shows a door.
·         It is the number of the Earth, or material Creation. Every part of the non-living Earth was finished on day four. Except for the Garden, described in Genesis 2.
Connection to the four Gospels:
·         Matthew shows the Lion “Behold the King”
·         Mark shows the Ox “Behold the servant”
·         Luke shows the man “Behold the Son of Man”
·         John shows the eagle with “Behold the Son of God.”
Four colors of curtains in the tabernacle of Moses:
·         Purple = Behold your King
·         Scarlet = Behold the servant
·         White = Behold the Son of Man
·         Blue = Behold the Son of God
Six = Vav, the Hebrew number for mankind.
·         There were six wings on each angel flying around the throne.
·         Mankind was created on day 6 in Genesis, and was to work six days with rest on the seventh.
·         Slaves, or servants, were to serve for six years. On the seventh, they went free for Jubilee.
·         Moses had to wait six days before ascending unto the mountain. (Exodus 24:16-18)
The angels cry “holy” three times and use three tenses (past, present and future) when describe God’s rule. Three in Hebrew means divine fullness, or perfection. It is “Gimel” in Hebrew.
·         The Bible records three major feasts: Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles.
·         There is a spirit, soul, and body for everyone.
·         Jesus rose on the third day.
·         Many things in nature occur in threes:
o   Solid, liquid, and gas.
o   First heaven, second heaven, third heaven. (Sky, space and Heaven.)
o   Birth, life, and death.
Revelation 5:1
A scroll with writing inside and outside (significant, as an ancient title deed would be) sealed with seven seals. Jesus, the Lion and Lamb, is the only one found worthy to open the title deed scroll.
Out of the seven seals, only the last two are God’s judgment on the nations.
Revelation 5:6-7
I saw a lamb standing in the center near the throne with the four living creatures and the leaders. The lamb looked like he had been slaughtered. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent all over the world. He took the scroll from the right hand of the one who sits on the throne.
·         Four living creatures, plus the slain lamb, means there are five total creatures before the throne. Five is “Hey” in Hebrew, a number that means grace or favor throughout scripture.
·         The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes. Seven + seven = 14. The number fourteen is “Yod-daleth” in Hebrew. The Bible uses 14 as a number signifying deliverance or release. The number, when written, is shown by a hand (outworking) of the door.
o   Israel was released/delivered from Egypt by the Passover lamb that was slain on the 14th day of the first month. The shipwreck that happened on Paul’s trip to Rome ended when they were delivered on the 14th day. (Acts 27:33,34)
o   The 14th time Jesus’ name is mentioned in Luke is Luke 4:35, where Jesus delivered a demon-possessed man.
Revelation 5:8
Each creature and (or?) elder had a harp and a gold bowl full of incense. The bowl was full of the prayers.
Revelation 5:11
The creatures, elders and angels gathering around the throne number over 100,000 people easily.
Revelation 5:12-14
Every creature in Heaven and on Earth, also under the sea, praised the Lamb.
Revelation 6:1-2
The first seal was broken, causing the first of the creatures to command a white horse’s rider to “Go!” unto the Earth. He had a bow, and was given a crown. He went to battle like a warrior, to conquer nations.
Revelation 6:3-4
The second seal broke. The second creature commanded another rider to “Go!” It was a red horse. He went to take peace from Earth. Doing so caused people to kill each other. He had a large sword.
Revelation 6:5-6
The third seal opening prompted the third creature to do likewise again. The rider was on a black horse. The rider had a scale, some voice near the creatures says “A quart of wheat [loaf of bread] for a day’s pay [around $80] or three quarts of barley [less nutritious] for a day’s pay. Leave the olive oil and wine alone.” (Jesus may be the voice, because he went to the throne to receive the scroll. He and the creatures are closest to the throne of all the beings.)
For what reason is the olive oil and wine not to be harmed, I wonder?
Revelation 6:7-8
The fourth seal opening prompted the fourth creature to send forth a pale green horse’s rider. He was Death, Hell followed him. He was given power over ¼ of the Earth to kill people with wars, famines, plagues and also the animals of Earth.
It is interesting to note, that on a map of the world that shows each country filled with the colors of their flags, the Middle East and Northern Africa have mostly green. About ¼ of the Earth on a map like this is covered in green. It is a very important color to these nations, which are all predominately Muslim. Wars, famines, plagues all haunt these regions daily.
Revelation 6:9
The fifth seal opens, resulting somehow in the souls of the slaughtered being before the altar of God. They were slaughtered because of God’s word and the testimony about him that they gave.
Revelation 6:10-11
They cried out for revenge. They were each given a white outfit. They were told to wait until all other Christians were also slaughtered. So, following this statement the entire world must eventually be full of only non-believers.
Revelation 6:12 – end of chapter 6.
The sixth seal opened and caused the Earth to shake, the sun to darken, and the moon look dark red. Stars fell to Earth by the dozens (Asteroids? Meteoroids?) The then sky vanished like a scroll being rolled up. Every mountain and island moved from where it was. Everyone left on earth, great and small, hid in the caves and rocks. They asked the rocks to kill them so they wouldn’t face God and Jesus.
This is unmistakably the event in which every eye sees Him. Isaiah 40 and Luke 3 clearly state that “Every mountain will be made low and every valley filled/lifted up.” Revelation 1:7 says that every eye will see him in the clouds. How? It’s a foreshadowing of what is going to come in Revelation 6:12-17.
·         The world is round, like a rolled up scroll is. At no point can something even as big as the sun be seen from the opposite side of the world.
·         If every mountain is made low, and valley lifted, at the same time that heaven (1st heaven = sky) is rolled away like a scroll then there’s only one possibility. Our Earth’s crust will be split open and spread out like an orange peel. This will allow every person left on Earth a front-row seat to the coming of their greatest enemy, God Almighty and his only Son.
·         Also, the rocks and caves that they were hiding in will be falling down. That’s why they call to the rocks to hit them so that they don’t have to face God.

·         Terrorists frequently hide in caves and mountains across the Middle East. Many soldiers have been attacked from the mountains, where the Islamic followers wage Jihad from. The Muslim belief about the End Times is that eventually rocks will say to them “Muslim brother, come here! Behind me is an infidel [Christian or Jew] KILL THEM!” Yet Revelation says that everyone left on earth, after ALL the true believers are killed for God’s word and Christ’s testimony, will cry for those same rocks to fall on them to save them from the wrath of God. Irony doesn’t begin to touch this subject. Along with Bible prophecy, the Koran predicts the end of the world and return of Jesus. Their prophecy is different because, in their book, Jesus comes to kill Christians and Jews. Their messiah-type of figure also reflects the identity of our anti-Christ or false messiah.
